Posted Tuesday, May 5, 2020 6:00 am Charles Pinkney "Pinkie" Scott Jr., 77, widower of Paula Price Scott, died on Friday, May 1, 2020, at his home. Born on April 15, 1943, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Charles Pinkney Scott Sr. and Rosa Lee Dennis Scott. He was a member of Dalzell Baptist Church, and he was a retired truck driver for Food Lion with 15 years of service and Southeastern Chemical Co. with 14 years of service. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by a son, Russell Scott (Brandon) of California; two stepchildren, Michelle Kupfer (Michael) and Odie Easton Jr. (Leah), both of Maryland; a sister, Rose Ann Gagne (Joe) of Dalzell; four grandchildren, Megan Kupfer, Madison Kupfer, Zoe Easton and Delilah Easton; several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and his beloved poodles, Chelsey and Missy. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by four sisters, six brothers and his devoted poodles, Dixie and Teddy. A private graveside service will be held at the Snyder-Price Family Cemetery in Manning. The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice and Swan Lake Dialysis Center for all of their compassionate care and support.
