| Notes |
- Isaac McElveen is listed in the 1820 Sumter District Census on the page following Daniel McElveen. Next to him is listed John McElveen, therefore, they are probably brothers, all around the same age. Daniel and John are in the same age bracket (16 - 26) while Isaac is older (26 - 45) Issac is married with a wife 26 to 45 years old. They have three sons (1 to 10 years old) and two daughters (1 to 10 years old).
Isaac is not listed in the 1830 SC Census, therefore, he must have taken off for Alabama and Georgia by this time.

"Isaac left South Carolina and was in Alabama and then Mississippi. He may have been in Georgia also but I know that he had sons born in Alabama. The son's I have for him are John and Tom. I suspect that William and Benjamin who were living next to him in Mississippi are his son's, and I believe that Robert K. McKelvain (my gr,gr,gr,gr grandfather) was his son. I know that Robert had dealings with and lived near John and Tom in Texas at different times and places".
