The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Elsie Kakadelis of Charlotte, formerly of Connecticut, and the late Peter Kakadelis, and the late Tom and June Bruce of Atlanta, Ga. He graduated from Camden Military Academy and Gardner Webb University with a bachelor of science in psychology. He is employed as an IT consultant in Charlotte.
