| HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina 2661 Tindal Road, No. 25, Sumter, South Carolina LARRY DAVID WILLIAMSON Posted Tuesday, August 6, 2024 7:34 am Larry David Williamson, 76, widower of Frances Anderson Williamson, died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2024, at Prisma Health Tuomey, Sumter. Born May 2, 1948, in Canton, Mississippi, he was a son of the late John David Williamson Sr. and the late Lila McElroy Williamson. Mr. Williamson served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church. Survivors include four daughters, Tammy Henderson (Pete), Christine Parker, Lynette Miles and Cheri Cain (Kev); 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Williamson and David Williamson; a sister, Judy Douglas; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Williamson. Funeral services will be held at noon Friday, Aug. 9, 2024, at Lakewood Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Stephens Williamson. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon Friday, Aug. 9, 2024, at Lakewood Baptist Church and other times at the home, 2550 Camden Hwy., Sumter. Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
