| HIST | Roberta S. Cranford WEDGEFIELD — Roberta Strange Cranford, 94, wife of Grover Cleveland Cranford, died Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, at National Healthcare Parklane in Columbia. Born in Wedgefield, she was the daughter of the late John B. Troublefield and the late Carrie Morgan Andrews. Mrs. Cranford was a member of the Wedgefield Presbyterian Church and was retired from Campbell Soup Co. In addition to her husband of Wedgefield, she is survived by a son, Clyde Berry Strange of Greenwood; one daughter, Doris Bales of Columbia; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, George Strange and Robert Strange, and her first husband, George Strange Sr. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wedgefield Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jodie Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Troublefield Cemetery in Wedgefield. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. at Wedgefield Presbyterian Church. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3223 Sunset Blvd., Suite 100, West Columbia, SC 29169 or to Wedgefield Presbyterian Church, PO Box 36, Wedgefield, SC 29168.
