  HIST	PAUL F. CROCKETT HAYES - Paul Fulton Crockett, age 89, died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 1995, at his home. A native of Hampton, Va., he made his home in Gloucester County for 39 years. He was a member of Abingdon Episcopal Church, White Marsh, and the Gloucester Lions Club. A graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute (VPI) in the College of Engineering, Mr. Crockett retired as chief designer in 1959 after being employed at the Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company for 29 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Lawrence, and his sons, Lawrence Fulton and Ray Vernon. He is survived by three daughter, Anne McClary of Appomottox, Nancy Carter of Tool, Utah, and Bernice Davenport of Staunton; 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Abingdon Episcopal Church, conducted by Rev. Jere Bunting Jr. Interment will follow at Peninsula Memorial Park, Newport News. The family will receive friends at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point, Friday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 12388 Warwick Blvd., No.209, Newport News, Va. 23606; or the Building Fund of Abingdon Episcopal Church, White Marsh, Va. 23183.
