| HIST | Virginia Jordan (1928 - 2017) Mrs. Virginia Lee Jordan December 2, 1928-April 24, 2017 Pawleys Island Virginia Lee McCracken Jordan passed on April 24, 2017 at her home in Pawleys Island, SC. Mrs. Jordan was born December 2, 1928 in Galivants Ferry, SC a daughter of the late Walker McNeal and Elabell Graham McCracken. On May 23, 1948, she married the love of her life, the late William Blee Jordan. She was a kind, loving, gentle and nurturing mother to her children. There was always a joyful noise of song, laughter, conversation and love when she and her family were together. She never met a stranger and was loved by all. Her life was built on kindness. Left to cherish the memory of Mrs. Jordan are her children, are William Gregg Jordan (Denise), Dixie (Peachey) Lee Jordan, Ramona Jordan Caswell (Van) and Joseph McBlee Jordan, grandsons, Zachary Will Jordan (Lindsey), William Russell Caswell and great-grandson Gavin Cade Jordan. She is also survived by three sisters: Geneva Baumeister, Evelyn Majar, and Lois Haselden, a brother, Vaughan McCracken and a sister, Reba Richardson, preceded her in death. The family would like to thank Miss Nell Morris, for her wonderful care, and also Leslie Plowman, June Collier with Beacon Hospice. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday April 27, 2017 at Pisgah United Methodist Church with Dr. Kirk Lawton officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be held immediately following the service at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made for research to the Alzheimers Association , 2090 Executive Hall Road, Suite 130, Charleston, SC 29407 or www.alz.org.
