Ross, 56, will be held at 11 o'clock on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, in Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Paul Atkinson will officiate and the family will receive friends following the service. Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home is serving the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to Memorial Chapel, 2509 Green Lane, Bishopville, SC 29010. Mrs. Ross entered into rest on Saturday, October 6, 2018. Born in Sumter, SC, she was a daughter of Bobby Lee Smith and Carolyn Keziah LaCoste. She was a loving mother who loved her grandchildren, had a good heart, and loved the Lord. Surviving are her loving husband, Jimmy Ross of Bishopville, SC; son, Michael Vincent (Mary) Hicks of Sumter, SC; daughter, Dana (Elias Touma) Player of Conway, SC; stepsons, James F. Ross, II of Hartsville, SC, John T. Ross of Lamar, SC, Josh W. Ross of Hartsville, SC; stepdaughter, Catherine Ross (Blake) Barnhill of Columbia, SC; father of Lugoff, SC; mother of Bishopville, SC; grandchildren, Evan Parker, Lilah Touma, Gabriella Touma, and Fares Touma; special friends, Kathy and Jimmy Cole of Sumter, SC, Donna and Fritz Smith of Bishopville, SC. Driver in Lee County ejected from vehicle, dies Saturday Posted Monday, October 8, 2018 12:29 pm BY ADRIENNE SARVIS adrienne@theitem.com A driver is dead after she was ejected from a vehicle while traveling on Royer Road in Lee County Saturday night, according to state law enforcement officials. Lee County Coroner Larry Logan identified the deceased as Debra Ross, 57, of Bishopville. Lance Cpl. Matt Southern with South Carolina Highway Patrol said the wreck occurred at 11:14 p.m. near Walnut Road and Ross' vehicle was the only one involved in the wreck. Ross was traveling north bound on Royer Road in a 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac when the vehicle went off the left side of the road, he said. Southern said Ross overcorrected to the right and "the driver was subsequently ejected from the vehicle." Ross sustained fatal injuries as a result of being ejected, he said.
