Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Tommie Jack Barfield and Josephine Curry Barfield. Surviving are her husband; a son, John Pfeifer III (Jasmine); four brothers, Larry Barfield (Kathy), Robert Barfield (Debra), Ricky Barfield and Leon Barfield (Sharon); an aunt, Verlene Hodge; two nieces, Elizabeth Galloway and Andrea Roof; a nephew, Wayne Barfield. She was preceded in death by a brother, Willie Jack Barfield. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2025, in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with the Rev. Robbie Hardin officiating. Burial will follow in New Town Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, 1891 New Town Road, Lake City. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025, at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
