He enjoyed life and loved to tailgate and tell stories. His true joy in life was spending time with his family. He was a member of the St. John United Methodist Church. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn Byrd and one son, Troy Byrd.
