| HIST | of Ashwood, South Carolina PAUL AUBREY HAWKINS Posted Wednesday, August 25, 2021 6:00 am ASHWOOD - Paul Aubrey Hawkins, 54, entered into rest peacefully on Sunday, Aug. 22, 2021, at his home in Ashwood, after a long battle with cancer. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday in the chapel of Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home. The Rev. Tim Lee, the Rev. Brandon Barkley and the Rev. Sammy Geddings will officiate with burial to follow at Piedmont Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Directors are caring for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to Piedmont Cemetery or the Lee County Animal Shelter. Born on Jan. 23, 1967, he was a son of James Aubrey Hawkins and Grace Logan Hawkins. He worked for Burlington Industries and Sumter Dairies before becoming a full-time farmer. Paul loved agriculture. He is survived by his loving parents of Ashwood; his beloved Jack Russell, Miley, who was always by his side; his significant other, Virginia C. Branham of Ashwood; sister, Debra (Kenny) Mims of Ashwood; Sammy Hawkins of Ashwood; stepsons, Ryan (Danny) and Matt (Megan) Player; stepdaughters, Misty Branham and Pam (Chris) Hahula; five nieces and nephews, Michael, Serena, Kayla, Katie and Wilson; four great-nieces and a great-nephew, who loved "Uncle Paul" dearly; as well as three grandchildren. He is also survived by a number of aunts, uncles and cousins whom he loved very much. The family would like to thank MSA Hospice for their compassionate care for Paul. [1] | |
