| HIST | BARBARA BARRS SHULER Posted Thursday, August 4, 2022 6:00 am Barbara Barrs Shuler, 90, widow of Admiral Dewey Shuler, died on Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2022, at Morningside of Sumter. Born in Charleston, she was a daughter of the late Marion Clifton Barrs and Ruby Mae Grooms Barrs. Mrs. Shuler was a retired U.S. Customs Inspector. Surviving are two sons, Michael F. Evans and James Eugene Evans, both of Columbia; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Santee First Baptist Cemetery in Elloree.
