Foxworth, died on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at her home. Born on Jan. 5, 1953, in North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Cora Leviner Hudson. She was a member of Wise Drive Church of the Nazarene. Survivors in addition to her husband include five children, James Thomas Mays (Missie), Tripp Mays, Sandy Mays (Mark McLeod), Shelly Hopkins (Junior) and Tina Difford; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Emily Fair; one brother, Ervin Hatcher; her fur baby, Pepper; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Josephine Boley (Ted); and a brother, Buster Hatcher. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Sammy Geddings. Burial will be in Calvary Nazarene Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 7 p.m. today at the home of her son, 4410 Bush Branch Road, and from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Prisma Health Tuomey Hospice for the exceptional care they provided. Memorials may be sent to Wise Drive Church of the Nazarene, 300 N. Wise Drive, Sumter, SC 29150. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
