John owned land as early as 1812 in Jackson County, Mississippi John moved to the Gulf Coast, apparently about 1810 or 1811. He commuted between Jackson County, Mississippi, and Mobile. Censuses locate John Bradford in Jackson County in 1830 and Mobile in 1840. John’s children also appear in the censuses of the areas. A third generation member of Henry’s line, also named Henry, removed to Yazoo County, Mississippi, about 1836 and remained there until his death, leaving many descendants in the area. [2, 3] |
