- All information concerning the Lahmann family came from a notebook given to me by Dorothy Darlene Lahmann Hutchinson - my grandmother.
Obit from Sumter Item 21 Sep 2000 it reads: DOROTHY D. HUTCHINSON Dorothy D. Hutchinson, 76, widow of Lucian D. Hutchinson, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 1998, at her home. Born in Scribner, Neb., she was a daughter of the late William and Martha Lahman. Mrs. Hutchinson was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include three daughters, Judy Barfield of Sumter, Ann Danford of Columbia and Jacqueline Hughes of North Charleston; a sister-in-law, Virginia Capper of Sumter; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. today in Elmore-Hill-McCreight Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sumter Cemetery. Mrs. Hutchinson was born in Scribner, Neb., a daughter of William Lahman and Martha Lahman. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. She was the widow of Lucian D. Hutchinson. Dec 31, 1943- SCRIBNER- DOROTHY LAHMAN AND PFC HUTCHINSON WED IN LINCOLN- Miss Dorothy Lahman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Lahman, was married to PFC Lucian D. Hutchinson at Lincoln. Major Clyde Cox performed the ceremony. The bride is a graduate of the Scribner public schools and has been employed in Fremont and Lincoln since graduation. PFC Hutchinson is stationed at the Army Air Base at Lincoln, and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Hutchinson of Wilmington, N. C. After their marriage, the young couple came to Scribner, where they spent the Christmas week end with relatives and friends. [14]
