RICHARD T. NICHOLES
Richard Tully Nicholes, 74, died Thursday, June 5, 2008, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.
Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late Tully Winkler Nicholes and the late Edell Barkley Nicholes. Mr. Nicholes was a retired long distance truck driver.
Surviving are two sons, Richard W. Nicholes of Pinewood and James Robert Nicholes of North Carolina; eight daughters, Barbara Holladay, Debbie Barwick, Sharon Collins, Tully Renee Black, Courtney Ives, Crystal Nicholes and Brittny Nicholes, all of Sumter, and Kim Masotti of Virginia; a brother, John W. "Ray" Nicholes of Sumter; three sisters, Frances McLhinney and Agnes Jackson, both of Sumter, and Mary Cothran of Texas; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a grandson.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Pinewood Cemetery with the Rev. Bennie Barwick officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, Debbie Barwick, 1520 Johnny Lane, Pinewood.
