| HIST | of the home MICHAEL WADE GAYLORD Posted Friday, January 27, 2023 6:00 am Michael Wade Gaylord, 76, widower of Margie Hatfield Gaylord, died on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023, at Blue Ridge of Sumter. Born on Dec. 5, 1946, in St. Augustine, Florida, he was a son of the late Mack William Gaylord and Margaret Lynch Gaylord. He retired from Stingray Boats. He enjoyed guns and hunting, his motorcycle and his dogs. Survivors include two sons, Mark Gaylord and Eric Gaylord; three siblings, Patricia Gaylord, David Gaylord and Tamara Gaylord; a stepdaughter, Carol Amerson (Eddie); a stepson, Gene May (Julie); a special granddaughter, Robin Christmas; and nine other grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Gaylord, and a sister, Barbara Ellen Lena. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 5, at Wayside Baptist Church, 2685 Lee State Park Road, Bishopville, SC 29010.
