ALICE HATFIELD
Alice Cassandra Kolb Hatfield, 97, widow of Bryan F. Hatfield Sr., to whom she was married for 65 years, died Tuesday, September 22, 2009, at the Tuomey Regional Medical Center.
Born March 25, 1912, in Clarendon County, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Irene Thigpen Kolb.
Mrs. Hatfield was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
Surviving are one son, Bryan F. Hatfield Jr. and wife, Fairey Ann, of Sumter; two daughters, Nina Faye Parker of Myrtle Beach, Frances Cassandra DuBose and husband, Victor, of Manning; a loving sister, Nina Percival, of Columbia; 46 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Janice Simmons.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. James Chandler and the Rev. Ron Bower officiating.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home of her son, Bryan F. Hatfield Jr.
