• Notes

  George was indentured Feb 3, 1728 to Samuel Coleman. He moved to the PeeDee area of South Carolina and then to Darlington, South Carolina. Many of his decendents left Darlington and moved to Charleston, South Carolina. Gearge was the first Nettles to get a Kings grant after serving his indentureship. He received a grant for 350 acres on Jeffreys Creek in then Craven County. This area was later called Welsh Neck. [3]
