ANNE MOISE
ABINGTON, Pa. -- Anne Hampton Frey Moise, age 96, of Rydal, Pa., died on Aug. 4, 2009.
Born June 15, 1913, in Aspinwall, Pa., Anne was the only child of the late John Joseph Frey and Theodosia Bloor Richards. She graduated with a bachelor of arts degree from Grove City College in June 1934 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy during World War II. On April 23, 1949, she married Albert Luria Moise Jr. in Philadelphia, Pa. The two first settled in Germantown, Pa., then moved to Jenkintown in 1959. Anne was employed for many years as a librarian by Electric Storage Battery Co. (Exide), eventually directing the company's research library in Yardley, Pa. After retiring from Exide, she continued her vocation by volunteering at Jenkintown Library for many years. Anne and Albert enjoyed many vacations in Virgin Gorda and trips to South Carolina beaches with the Moise family. She remained a lifelong Pittsburgh Pirates fan.
Anne is survived by cousins, Catherine Richards of Montreal, Canada, and Jane Coladarci of Yuba City, Calif.; as well as many Moise cousins and abundant dear friends.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at the Falls Center, 3300 Henry Ave., Philadelphia.
