HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina FRANK OSBORN Posted Sunday, July 21, 2019 6:00 am Milton Franklin "Frank" Osborn Sr., 71, husband of Shirley W. Osborn, died Friday, July 19, 2019, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence. Born Nov. 10, 1947, in Lawrence County, Alabama, he was a son of the late Charlie Franklin Osborn and Nettie Jane Lawson Osborn. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Frank was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of American Legion Post 15 and the DAV. He was the retired owner of Frank's Antennae and Tower Service. Survivors include his wife of 48 years; two children, Milton Osborn (Tracey) of Dalzell and Cassandra Macdonald (Kurt) of Waterford, Connecticut; five grandchildren, Michaela Osborn, Miranda Osborn, Harbor Osborn, Tyler Macdonald and Addison Macdonald; a sister, Sandra Croft of Dalzell; and his mother-in-law, Bessie Williamson of Sumter. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brittany Nicole Osborn; and a sister, Darlene Gainey. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Dr. Steve Williams and the Rev. Steve Shumake officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Carraway, Walt Driggers, Tommy Brown, Lonnie Davis, Lamar Otts and Bill Cockerill. Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Mayer, members of the Rupert Kimbrell Sunday School Class of Grace Baptist Church, and the Sumter Blue P15 Shirts Baseball Committee. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church, 219 W. Calhoun St., Sumter, SC 29150 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
