Lance April 9, 1949 — September 24, 2021 Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces the death and funeral services for Mr. Jerry E. Lance, age 72, of Blairsville, who passed away in Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina on Friday, September 24th, 2021. Mr. Lance was born in Blairsville, a son of the late Homer Lance and the late Frankie Wimpey Lance. Besides his parents, Jerry had been preceded in death by a sister, Annie Sue Lance Jones, and a step-daughter, Samantha. Survivors include nieces, Teresa Yeary and her husband, Billy; and Vicki Copeland; great nieces and nephews: Tyler Radford, Lance Copeland, and Katelyn Copeland. Funeral services have been scheduled for Thursday, September 30th, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., to be held in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Blairsville. Burial will be in Old Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, the same day of the service, beginning at 12 noon, and will last until 2:00 p.m., when the service will begin.
