A 71-year-old Summerton woman died Saturday night after the van in which she was a passenger was struck by a 19-year-old Sumter woman. • South Carolina Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Josef M. Robinson said Robertha Lawson, of 1267 Mack Drive, died at Tuomey Regional Medical Center about 10:30 p.m. from injuries she suffered in the 9:36 p.m. collision on U.S. 15, about seven miles south of Sumter. • Authorities said Amanda Logan was driving west on Pearson Road when she ran a stop sign and crashed her 2004 Volkswagen into the side of a Chevrolet van, driven by Williene Wright, 70, of Summerton, that was traveling south on U.S. 15. • Logan and Wright were both treated at Tuomey Regional Medical Center for non life-threatening injuries. • Toxicology results and charges are pending, Robinson said. MANNING - Toxicology results and charges are pending against a 19-year-old Sumter woman involved in a fatal wreck on Dec. 10. And an underage drinking party was busted after the woman told an S. C. Robbie Rabon contacted Clarendon County authorities at 11:58 p.m. Dec. 10 in reference to the wreck and told them Logan told troopers she had been drinking at a party in the Wyboo area of Clarendon County. • Deputies subsequently located the party at a home on Stukes Drive. • Jeff Fralick, 20, of 2266 Garrison St., Sumter, and seven others at the party were issued tickets for minor in possession of beer/alcohol. Shaw, 19, of 307 Lindley Drive, Sumter • Brook Ellen Cannon, 18, 3585 Wedgefield Road, Sumter • The maximum penalty they each face, if convicted, include a $465 fine and suspension of their driver’s license for up to 90 days. Logan-Wilson STATEBURG - Amanda Danielle Logan and Patrick Conlon Wilson were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2011, at Church of the Holy Cross. The bride is the daughter of Daniel Hoyt Logan Jr. of Columbia and Dee Rush Scoggins of Sumter, and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Austin Rush and the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Logan Sr. She attends the University of South Carolina. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Wilson of Manning, and the grandson of Mrs. Dorothy Conlon and the late William Conlon and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Wilson. He graduated from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor's degree in business and a master's degree in accounting. He is employed by Grant Thorton, LLP. The Rev. Darryl Davids and the Rev. Thomas Allen officiated at the ceremony. Music was provided by Scott Warren, organist; Susanna Tanguay, vocalist; Dr. Steven Thursby, violinist; and Dr. Forrest Pommerenke, guitarist. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore and sleek and elegant ivory gown designed by Augusta Jones and featuring a sweetheart neckline lined with pearl beading that cascaded down the bodice, and a chapel train adorned with scattered pearls among three white flowers. She carried a bouquet of white Asiatic lilies and lilac roses. Alyssa Lennard served as maid of honor, with Christy Lyles, sister of the bride, as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Alix Pommerenke, Brook Ellen Cannon, Leslie Caneda, Rachel Hoppe and Brooke Buffington. Anna Lyles served as junior bridesmaid, with Camden Tanguay as flower girl. Jeffrey Cummings served as best man. Groomsmen were Hank DeHart, Todd Becker, Gerald Lyles, David Buffington, Hamilton Betchman and Lee Cummings. Bryce Lyles served as junior groomsman, with Jackson DuVall as ring bearer. The reception was given by Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Logan Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Neil Scoggins at The O'Donnell House. The rehearsal party was given by the bridegroom's parents at the Heath Pavilion, Swan Lake-Iris Gardens. Following a wedding trip to San Souci, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Lexington.
