If not, where does that name come from? jkh Who are the father’s of her children? jkh at death- she had 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews ROSE MASLANKO Rose Lee McLeod Maslanko, age 76, beloved wife of 46 years to John Maslanko, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 19, 2010. She was born in Sumter, a daughter of the late John David "Bozie" Hudson and Susie Atkins Hudson Bochette. Rose was the former president of the Ladies Auxiliary at the VFW Post 3034. Through her years with the VFW, she assisted with many state and local activities. Survivors in addition to her husband are six children, Liz Belsole (Randy Galloway) of Sumter, Otis "Buck" McLeod (Rhonda) of Blackville, Debra Nowakowski (Bob), Louise McCathern (Wesley), Dale Rygalski (Tom) of Sumter and David Lackey of Michigan; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Jessie Hudson (Vivian), John David Hudson Jr. of Sumter, Tommy Hudson (Brenda) and Mike Bochette (Sherrie) of Orangeburg; two sisters, Henrietta Smith and Catherine Kraft (Thomas) of Sumter; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Nathan Hudson, Herbert W. Hudson Sr. and Butch Bochette; and two sisters, Leatha Truett and Susan Robinson. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Victor Cheek officiating. Burial will follow in the Sumter Cemetery and the family will receive friends immediately following the burial at the VFW Post 3034, 1925 Gion St., Sumter. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Bullock Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shaw Heights Baptist Church, 2030 Peach Orchard Road (S.C. 441), Sumter, SC 29154.
