She is employed as an associate attorney at Thurmond Kirchner & Timbes, P.A., Charleston.
The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Col. and Mrs. Wade Hampton Padgett Jr. of Clemson, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kitchings of Hinesville. He graduated from The Citadel with a bachelor of arts in history. He is employed as an agent of New York Life Insurance Co., Charleston.
