MARY FRANCES DANZ
MANNING – Mary Frances Ragin Lee Danz, 94, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, at her home in Manning.
Born July 1, 1915, in Williamsburg County, she was a daughter of the late John Peter and Mamie Player Ragin. She became a resident of Epworth Children's Home in Columbia at an early age, and remained there throughout her school years. "Ms. Johnnie," as she was known by so many, was a retired sales associate with B.C. Moore & Sons. She was a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church near Alcolu.
Surviving are a son, James Manning Lee Jr. and his wife, Mary Lou, of Pinewood; two daughters, Mary E. Lee Dallery and her husband, Ed, of Sumter, and Clara B. Lee Reynolds and her husband, Bob, of Chapin; five grandchildren, James Franklyn Dallery of Knoxville, Tenn., Robert Laird Dallery of Sumter, James Manning Lee III of Sumter, Heather Reynolds Coker of Lexington and Todd Reynolds Lee of Mount Pleasant; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, the late James Manning Lee; late husband, John Leon Danz; son, Col. John Edward Lee; infant triplets; and sisters, Willie Belle Barnett and Florence Coughlin.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home in Manning with the Rev. James Franklyn Dallery officiating. Burial will follow in the Manning Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and Mark Colin Coker, Richard Joel Lee, Homer Byron Nash Jr. and Reginald Lee.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Stephens Funeral Home in Manning and at other times at the residence.
