  HIST	Ruth Noland Burgin Waynesville, North Carolina November 25, 1904 - April 4, 2003 Noland Wells Thuss April 6, 2009 Ruth was a treasure and a dear friend of my Mom's, Martha Nell Wells of Murphy, NC. I can remember at a very early age making trips to Waynesville to see the prize "log cabin." It was always a highlight and perhaps a reason why I am living in a log house today! I remember Ruth as full of life and always rolling with the punches. What a gift and wonderful role-model she has been for all of us over the years. She will be greatly missed. I deeply regret flying out of the country on Tuesday. I am sorry that I cannot be with everyone at her service. With lots of love and deepest sympathy, Noland Wells Thuss  [1]
