She was born on June 28, 1936, in Bloomingdale, Pennsylvania, to Glenn and Dora (Kaylor) Harvey. Jeanette loved the Lord and loved the word of God. Ever since she accepted Jesus as her savior at age 16, she was a faithful servant of the Lord, serving him in many different capacities. She was involved in activities in Betmar, especially shuffleboard and theater. She will be greatly missed by a lot of people, including Rachel Belles, with whom she lived and who was her teammate in ministry for 63 years. She also leaves behind: her sister, Madalen Meeker of Sumter; sister-in-law, Debbie Harvey (the wife of Jeanette's brother Ron who just passed away in April) of Palmetto, Florida; nephews, Lee Meeker (Paige) of Anderson and Dan Harvey (Coley) of Berwick, Pennsylvania; niece, Becky Harvey Gonyer (John) of Collegeville, Pennsylvania; and great-nieces, Piper (John), Amber, Morgan, Kamryn, Ryann and Alysse. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Hope Baptist Church, 3514 Allen Road, Zephyrhills, or Gideons International through the church. Whitfield Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
