Posted Thursday, March 24, 2016 6:00 am Thurston Bagnal Jr., 66, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2016, after a brief illness. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Turbeville Southern Methodist Church, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Thurston was a son of the late Henry Thurston Bagnal Sr. and Margaret Rowland Bagnal. He was a principal of the South Carolina Department of Corrections and a member of Turbeville Southern Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Coker Bagnal; a sister, Garland Bagnal Shaffner; and a brother, Earle Rowland Bagnal. He is survived by one son, Garrett Bagnal of Charlotte, North Carolina. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to foreign missions through Turbeville Southern Methodist Church, P.O.
