| HIST | 30 Tuscon Drive SYLVIA B. SCOTT Sylvia Brunson Scott, 62, wife of Ray Scott, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of Sarah Powell Brunson and the late Melton B. Brunson. She was a member of Lewis Chapel United Methodist Church and was retired from Wal-Mart as the personnel manager. She was a graduate of Edmunds High School and Sumter Beauty College. Survivors beside her husband and mother include two sons, Tony Scott and his wife, Mary Anne, and Robert M. Scott and his wife, Trish, all of Sumter; four grandchildren, Mary Rachel Scott, Anthony Miles Scott, Sarah Grace Scott and Anne Jackson Scott; a brother, Charles Melton "Bubba" Brunson and his wife, Sara, of Sumter; and two sisters, Christine Brunson Johnson and Janice Brunson McCormick, both of Sumter. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Lewis Chapel United Methodist Church with the Revs. Mike Morris, Lee Phillips and Steve Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Brunson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rick Johnson, David Brunson, Deron McCormick, Bennie Scott, Mitch Scott, Mike Miller, Trevis Scott and Kel Scott. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Hugh T. Stoddard and Dr. Lea B. Givens. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and will receive friends at the home, 30 Tuscon Drive. Memorials may be made to the Tuomey Foundation Camp SCAMP, 129 N. Washington St., Sumter, SC 29150. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of arrangements.
