| HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina Janice B. McCormick Janice Brunson McCormick, 63, died Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Melton Brunson and Sarah Powell Brunson. Ms. McCormick was a member of Crosspoint Baptist Church. She worked with Suburban Propane for more than twenty-two years and most recently worked along with her daughter at Associations Plus Inc. in Columbia. Survivors include three children, Leigh M. Faircloth, Denise Campbell (Jamie) and Deron McCormick (Stephanie), all of Sumter; five grandchildren, Drake McCormick, Marley McCormick, Ross Campbell, Graham Campbell and Jana Marie Faircloth; one sister, Christine Johnson of Sumter; one brother, Charles "Bubba" Brunson (Sara) of Sumter; one brother-in-law, Ray Scott of Sumter; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Sylvia Scott; and one brother-in-law, John Johnson. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Sorrells officiating. Burial will be in the Brunson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rick Johnson, David Brunson, Tony Scott, Robert Scott, Robbie Baker and Ronnie Burns. Honorary pallbearers will be Glen Sharp, Dabney Sharp, Frank Anderson, Randy Pardee, Doug Hammond, Tommy Hickson and Dr. Andy Reynolds. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Monday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and at times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Deron McCormick, 1925 Currituck Drive. Memorial contributions may be made to Crosspoint Baptist Church, 2755 Carter Road, Sumter, SC 29150; or to Thomas Sumter Academy, 5265 Camden Highway, Rembert, SC 29128.
