Born Dec. 31, 1952, in Charleston, he was the son of the late Eston Calhoun Rogers and the late Eliza Ann McLeod. Mr. Rogers worked as a heavy equipment operator for Barwick Plumbing and was very well thought of and loved by his family and numerous friends. Survivors include one daughter, Kimberly Rogers; one son, Terrance Berry; one granddaughter, Paisley; three brothers, Delano Rogers (Rosa), Allen Rogers (Beverly) and Elvin Rogers (Rose); a dear friend, Debra Berry; his K-9 baby, Bam Bam; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Varner, Joyce Hodge and Ann Scarbrough; and three brothers, Lewis Rogers, Laverne Rogers and Gilbert Rogers. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Wise Drive Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Sammy Geddings officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.
