A private burial will be held. The family will receive friends from noon until 1:00 p.m. prior to the memorial service in the church atrium. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family. Mrs. Bradford died Monday, August 29, 2011. Born May 4, 1930 in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Lee Connor and Elizabeth Cook Williams. She graduated from Dreher High School in Columbia and Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Va., where she was president of the senior class. She and Ralph married December 5, 1952. They traveled around the United States and spent three years in Germany while in the Air Force, returning to Columbia in 1957. Betty Ann was a member of the Columbia Garden Club and worked for the James L. Tapp Company for over 20 years. Betty Ann was an avid card player and was a member of numerous bridge and Shanghai clubs over the years. She was a member of Northeast Presbyterian Church. Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Ralph Eugene Bradford Jr.; children, Beth Kincaid (Terry), Laura Meggs, Ann Lonon (Gerald), Ralph E. Bradford III; grandchildren, Brad Martz (Kem), Jake Meggs, Jennifer Meggs, Andrew Lonon, Elizabeth Lonon, Marianna Lonon, Joseph Lonon, Jennifer Jernigan; great-granddaughter, Ellie Martz.
