Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late James Wilson McLeod Jr. and Daisy Virginia McLeod. She was a member of Fraser Memorial Presbyterian Church and was a retired cosmetologist. Survivors include a daughter, Lea Norsworthy (Frank Mishoe) of Sumter; a grandson, Jordan Norsworthy; a brother, Jimmy McLeod (Linda) of Lexington; and a special aunt, Betty Taylor (Norm) of Sumter. She was preceded in death by a son, John L. Norsworthy Jr.; and a brother, Paul W. McLeod. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery with the Rev. Chris Scott officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and prior to the service Wednesday at the home of Betty Taylor, 7 Wingate Court. Memorials may be made to Fraser Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1746 U.S. 521 South, Sumter, SC 29153. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
