He was born on April 19, 1942, in Sumter County, the youngest of 14 children to Annie Bell Robison and Edmond B. Watts. Wyman was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Louise Watts, James and Gertie Watts, Franklin Watts, E.B. Watts Jr. and John Milton Watts; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lorena and Carlyle Nesbitt, Mildred and Euston Green, Gladys Buddin and Elma and SW Prescott; and son-in-law, Gerry Hanna. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Grace Watts; nine-year-old pug, Duke; as well as his children, daughter Sheila Watts Hanna of Mayesville, son Hal Watts and his wife, Leslie, of Gable and daughter Kaye Watts Chase and her husband, Art, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; five grandchildren, Taylor Watts Welsh (Cam) of Turbeville, Morgan Hanna Drucker (Taylor) of Charleston, Trey Hanna (Karley) of Lake City, Claudia Watts Prothro (Evan) of Manning and Ethan Watts of Charleston; great-granddaughter, Savvy Kaye Welsh; sisters and brothers-in-law, Libby and J.H. Moore, Sarah Bell and Ken Turner and Patsy and Bill Aburn; sisters-in-law, Ruby Watts, Joyce Watts and Uldine Watts; brother-in-law, Bruce Buddin; and numerous nephews and nieces. A member of Shiloh United Methodist Church and founding member of the Sportsman Hunting Club in Mayesville, Wyman was an avid outdoorsman who loved deer hunting, fishing, golf, softball and spending time with family and friends at Lake Marion. He retired following a career in the farm and construction industries in addition to volunteer service with the Sumter County Fire Department. The family expresses its appreciation to Daisy Crowder, private sitter and friend; Heather Matthews, McLeod Hospice nurse; Jake Sanderson, McLeod Hospice Chaplin; Marci Meekker and Leah Howell, McLeod Hospice social workers; and Dr. Robert Eagerton, McLeod Hospice physician. The family will receive guests from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Sunday at Shiloh United Methodist Church, prior to the funeral service at 3 p.m. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to McLeod Hospice House of Florence and Shiloh United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
