Is her father/stepfather’s name spelled Coburn or Colburn? at death- she had several grandchildren and great-grandchildren Toumey is also spelled incorrectly 2 times, so how many other names or events are spelled incorrectly? jkh

JEWEL J. MARCOUX
PINEWOOD -- Jewel J. Marcoux, age 69, loving wife of 23 years of Robert E. Marcoux Sr., was promoted to Glory on Sept. 20, 2009, at her home in Pinewood.
She was born Nov. 15, 1939, in Sumter, and was a daughter of the late Herbert M. and Frances J. Colburn. She was a licensed practical nurse and worked for Dr. Charles Dawkins for many years. She also worked for the City of Sumter as a school crossing guard and as a funeral traffic control officer when Shelly Brunson Funeral Home was in business. During her final days, she was surrounded by her family and lifelong friend, Judy Barfield, and under the exceptional care of Toumey Hospice.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by five sons, Jerry Burke of Sumter, Randy Burke of Dalzell, Jack Burke of Wedgefield, Scott Burke of Pinewood and Steven Burke of Niceville, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Michelle Marcoux of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Sharon Spaulding of Hanover, Ind.; two stepsons, John Marcoux of Atlanta and Robert E. Marcoux Jr. of Pinewood; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Marcoux was predeceased by two brothers, Stanley Berry and Thomas Berry.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Evergreen Memorial Park. Honored to officiate is the Rev. Eddie Richardson.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bullock Funeral Home. The family will receive friends all other times at the residence of Jerry and Gwen Burke.
