  MILI	Enlisted Confederate Army, 19 Mar 1862, in 3rd Palmetto Batt., Company C., Lt, Art. Captured Ft. Gains, Alabama, 8 Aug 1864 and imprisoned at Ship Island, Mississippi 4 Jan 1865 he was exchanged in Prisoner of War Exchange. Reassigned to 5th Louisiana Volunteers. That company was captured 10 May 1865, Ctironville, Alabama At close of War he was paroled at Meridian, Mississippi  [2]
