Born in Fayetteville, N.C., she was a daughter of the late George C. Steele and the late Beulah Estelle Norton Steele. Surviving are two brothers, Jerry L. Steele and John W. Steele, both of Sumter; a sister, Jackie D. Renfrow of Lucama, N.C.; four nieces; three nephews; and a special friend, Eddie Rogers of Sumter. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of the Elmore-Hill-McCreight Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the Elmore-Hill-McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home of her brother, 2049 Columbia Circle.
