MOZELLE H. ATKINSON
Mozelle Hancock Atkinson, 96, widow of John Kirkland Atkinson, died Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at the Tuomey Regional Medical Center.
Born in Lee County, she was a daughter of the late William F. Hancock and the late Agnes Mathis Hancock. Mrs. Atkinson was a member of Northside Baptist Church and retired from Kirkland Cleaners.
Surviving are two sons, Ronald F. Atkinson and wife, Jean, of Sumter and Donald O. Atkinson and wife, Ellen, of Lugoff; a daughter, Sylvia Davis of Sumter; a stepdaughter, Irene Kolb of Sumter; a sister, Willean Jenkinson of Sumter; five grandchildren, Lisa Davis Forthman of Sumter, Emery Atkinson of Lugoff, Paula Atkinson Murray of Sumter, Jill Atkinson Ludy of Lugoff and Brent Atkinson of Sumter; and a special step-granddaughter, Penny Lyles Hodge of Sumter. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, great-grands, step-grands, and step-great-grands.
She was preceded in death by a brother, three sisters, a stepson, three stepdaughters, and infant twins.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Northside Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy K. Holley and Mr. Tommy Rogers officiating.
Burial will be in the Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Bishopville.
Pallbearers will be Emery Atkinson, Brent Atkinson, Todd Murray, Brock Ludy, Gary "Bird" Forthman and Russell Elmore.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home, 19 Dew Drive.
