McINTOSH LEXINGTON - A funeral service with military honors for Lavern Kenneth McIntosh, 88, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Hebron United Methodist Church with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 9 p.m. today at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mount Hebron United Methodist Church, 3050 Leaphart Road, West Columbia, SC 29170. Mr. McIntosh was born Nov. 1, 1921, in Clarendon County, and passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2010. He was a son of the late Laurie Duncan and Mamie Mixon McIntosh Sr. Mr. McIntosh was a U.S. Navy veteran and had retired from the Lexington School District 1 school bus maintenance shop. He was a member of the men's club and Wesley Fellowship Class at Mount Hebron United Methodist Church. Mr. McIntosh is survived by his daughter, Judy George (Lee) of Lexington; son, William "Kenny" McIntosh Sr. (Connie) of Lexington; grandchildren, John and Ashleigh George and William and Anna McIntosh; brother, Laurie D. McIntosh of Sumter; and sisters-in-law, Jean McIntosh of Pittsboro, N.C., and Ethel Lee Senn of Lexington. He was predeceased by his wife, Eula Lee McIntosh; son, Carrol McIntosh; and brothers, Harry Lee McIntosh and Ray McIntosh. www.caughmanharmanfuneralhome.com    [1, 2]
