PATSY R. ROLAND
Patsy Ruth Roland, beloved wife of 53 years of Charles Roland, passed away on Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, at East Texas Medical Center. Born Nov. 29, 1938, in Turbeville, she was the youngest daughter of the late Kenneth and Sudie (Spigner) Morris.
Pat was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was dearly loved by her family and many friends and will be greatly missed. Pat was a homemaker and a volunteer with the Salvation Army Home League Ladies.
She is survived by her daughter, Charlene (Mark) Whitt of Chapel Hill and her son, Tony (Deborah) Roland of Garland; sister Marjorie (Bobby) Morris of Sumter, and brothers Norman Morris and Laverne Morris, both previously deceased; grandchildren Jason Whitt, Amanda Langley and Tony Lynn Roland; and great-grandchildren Shayla and Kelsea Langley.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m on Monday at Lloyd James Funeral Home.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, at Williams Cemetary in Chapel Hill with the Rev. Scottie Short officiating under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.
