The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Edward Plowden of Manning, and Mrs. Diane P. Johnson and the late Mr. Willie Edward Johnson of Pinewood. She graduated from Clemson University with a bachelor of science in food science. She is employed by Waypoint in Charlotte, North Carolina, as an operations specialist / food broker. The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Marianna Harrill Templeton and the late Mr. Joseph Hilton Templeton of York, and the late Mr. Julian Paschall Rogers and the late Betty Gardner Rogers of Rock Hill. He graduated from Clemson University with a bachelor of science in agriculture mechanization and business. He is employed by AME Inc. as a purchasing agent for the fabrication division. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and rs. Willie Edward “Mickey” Johnson Jr. of Manning, and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Edward Plowden of Manning and Mrs. Diane P. Johnson and the late Willie Edward “Billy” Johnson of Pinewood. She received a bachelor of science in food science from Clemson University and is employed as an operations specialist with Waypoint. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Hall Rogers of Rock Hill, and the grandson of Mrs. Mariana Harrill Templeton and the late Joseph Hilton Templeton of York and the late Mr. and Mrs. Julian Pascall Rogers of Rock Hill. He received a bachelor of science in agricultural mechanization and business from Clemson University, and is employed as a purchasing agent with AME Inc. The Rev. Marcus Van Vlake officiated at the ceremony. Music was provided by Kathy Gatlin, organist, and Libby T. Anderson and Grant Goff, vocalists. Given in marriage by her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Edward Johnson Jr., the bride wore a vintage wedding gown previously worn by her mother, maternal grandmother and three other relatives. The dress was made of Chantilly lace and nylon over bridal satin, featuring a fitted bodice; a round, scalloped neckline; and cap sleeves. She carried a bouquet of blue hydrangeas, white and yellow calla lilies and white roses. Anna Rebeccah Smith served as maid of honor Bridesmaids included Elizabeth McGill Brock; Gracie Wielicki Couch; Megan Elizabeth Martin; Caroline Elizabeth Powell; Joanna Elizabeth Rogers; Lauren Elizabeth Young; and Kelsey Catherine Peterson. Darby Elizabeth Grigg served as junior bridesmaid. Honorary bridesmaids included Tiffany Garris Conrad; Allison Leigh Decker; and Elizabeth Scott Wilson. William Hall Rogers, father of the groom, served as the best man. Groomsmen included Wesley David Chestnut; Christopher Hunter Cockram; Harold Dale Conrad; Bradford Lucus Harth; Blanding Galloway Johnson; Myles Bennett Lee; and Julian Pascal Rogers IV. Claudia Erin Cain served as the flower girl. Spencer Kirk Cain served as the ring-bearer. A rehearsal party was given gy the groom’s parents at the Breedin Garden Room at Weldon Auditorium in Manning. A reception was given by the bride’s parents in the garden of their home in Manning, following the ceremony.
