Born in the Stokes Bridge community of Lee County, he was a son of the late William Boyd Beasley and the late Aurella Woodham Beasley. Mr. Beasley was a member of Hebron United Methodist Church and the Patesville Lodge AFM. He worked as civilian constructing naval facilities in Norfolk during World War II and retired as an industrial electrician and farmer. Survivors include three children, Helen Beasley Puckhaber (Henry) of Lexington, William Boyd Beasley, II of Marshall's Creek, PA, and Frances Beasley Roberts (Dennis) of Bishopville; grandchildren, Marion Scott Beasley, Robert Todd Beasley, Amy Prosser Beasley, Matthew Wayne Beasley, William Jay Puckhaber, James Henry Puckhaber, Laura Jordan Robinson, Shannon Jordan Drayton, William Boyd Beasley, III, Devon Elizabeth Beasley, and Dawn McFarren Beasley; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Marion Wayne Beasley, and his wife, Bebe is still with the children. Graveside services will be held at 4 P.M. Saturday, May 7, 2011 in the Hebron United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 P.M. Saturday at Hebron United Methodist Church and other times at 319 West Church St., Bishopville. Memorials may be made to Hebron United Methodist Church, 242 Woodham Rd., Bishopville, SC 29010. Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home of Bishopville is in charge of the arrangements.
