ALDERMAN Danni Griffith Alderman, 54, widow of Albert Strong "B. Bo" Alderman, died Friday, June 11, 2010, at her home. Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of Ora Lee Jones Griffith and the late John W. Griffith. Mrs. Alderman was a member of Alice Drive Baptist Church and attended Salt & Light Baptist Church. Surviving are her mother of Sumter; two daughters, Jill Ann Carter, and Ashleigh Carter Gagnon and husband John, all of Sumter; one brother, the Rev. James "Buddy" Griffith of Sumter; one sister, Brenda G. Garcia of Antioch, Calif.; one grandson, Carter Strong Gagnon; two stepsons, David L. Alderman of Columbia, and Christopher Lee Alderman and wife Tandra of Sumter; two step-grandchildren, Logan Lee Alderman and Emily Dubose Alderman. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home, with the Rev. Buddy Griffith and the Rev. Marion Zeigler officiating. Burial will be in the Sumter Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bill Dority, Chris Dority, Jimmy Miles, Chris Alderman, Witt Dority and Jacob Tedder. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home.
