JENKINSON Willean Hancock Jenkinson, 89, widow of George Jenkinson, died Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, at a local assisted living facility. Born in Lee County, she was a daughter of the late William "Bill" and Hattie Brown Hancock. Mrs. Jenkinson was a member of Pinewood United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, Terry Jenkinson (Vicki) of Myrtle Beach; two granddaughters, Ashley Jenkinson and Ally Jenkinson; and a number of special sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Mickey Bell officiating. Burial will be in Sumter Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ken Swartz, Eddie Jenkinson, Richard Jenkinson, Steve Tate, Donnie Atkinson, Ronnie Atkinson, Melvin Holloman and Larry Holloman. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Pinewood Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of her sister-in-law, Nell Swartz. Memorials may be made to the Pinewood United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 203, Pinewood, SC 29125 or to a charity of one's choice.
