| HIST | of Sumter, South Carolina EDWARD PARKER Posted Tuesday, February 9, 2021 6:00 am MANNING - Edward Parker, 82, husband of Wilma M. Coker Parker, died on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2021, at his home. Born on Dec. 25, 1938, in Lake City, he was a son of the late John Larry Parker and Wilma Floyd Parker. He retired from the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam War veteran. He also retired from the S.C. Department of Corrections. He was a member of the American Legion. Survivors include his wife of 62 years; four children, Debra Lynn Holliday of Manning, Anthony Scott Parker (Debbie) of Dalzell, Shon Parker (Dominique) of Florida and Barry Allan Parker of Manning; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a sister, Annie Ruth White; and a brother, Burdell "Billy" Parker. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Floyd's Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Bobby Driggers officiating. Pallbearers will be Darrel Blakley, Dalton Blakley, LePaul Rogers, Chase Rogers, Tanner Parker and Dustin Parker. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.
