| HIST | Hiawatha Williamson Birth: Sep. 9, 1928 Death: Nov. 22, 2004 Hiawatha Williamson, 76, husband of Bessie Eaddy Williamson, died Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Marion County, he was the son of the late Barney David Williamson and the late Eva Jones Williamson. He was a member of Northside Memorial Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He also served as a Sunday school teacher for the church and the Eastern Star Home for many years. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World Camp No. 19, where he served as chaplain for many years. He was retired from Korn Industries. Survivors besides his wife of 54 years include two sons, Arthur Wayne Williamson and his wife, Rhonda, of Charlotte and Terry W. Williamson and his wife, Dawn, of San Diego, Calif.; two daughters, Shirley Osborn and her husband, Frank, of Sumter and Katherine Fogle and her husband, Dwain, of Neeses; 14 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two brothers, Carlight Williamson of Florence and Otto Williamson of San Diego; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Holley and Tommy Rogers officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Fellowship Sunday School Class and current and former deacons of Northside Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.
