Mrs. Floyd died Thursday, March 31, 2022. Born in Florence, SC, she was a daughter of the late Cohen Harry Gibbs and Ida Mayo Hutchinson Gibbs. An avid golfer, she achieved six holes-in-one after the age of 40. Yvonne also loved to played bridge. She was a member of Northeast Presbyterian Church. Surviving are her daughter, Cindy Garcia (Mark) of Blythewood; grandchildren, Rick Brown and Robyn Brown; special niece, Lynn Parrott (Billy); and numerous other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Loran Bethea Floyd, daughter, Donna Rachels and sister, Jane Purvis. Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, is assisting the family.
