| HIST | George and Polly lived on Lightwood Knot Creek, on the road from Pond Branch Methodist Church toward Leesville, South Carolina. Their property was later acquired by and known as the David Hallman place. In later years George built and lived in a home in the Hell Hole community, although when they died he and his wife were buried close by their old home site. His daughter Sallie Smith later had thier bodies removed and reburied at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Cemetery, where their grave markers now stand. [2] | |
