Jackson MYRTLE BEACH — Born on May 5, 1922, Florence Griffin Jackson, widow of James Herbert “Jas” Jackson of Horatio, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, at the home of her daughter, Ellen Justice. Daughter of the late Clemmie Ingram and James N. Griffin, she is survived by two children, Mary Eleanor Justice and Charles Edward Jackson; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Cleo Jackson; and a brother, Bernard Griffin. She was preceded in death by her eldest son, James Rae Jackson; five brothers; and one sister, Mary Lou Truluck. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Underwood officiating. Interment will follow in Bethesda Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m. at Bullock Funeral Home.
